This both joyous and heart-breaking musical is Tevye's story of family and tradition where love and optimism vanquish change and persecution. 
It features Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock’s timeless songs "Tradition", “Sunrise, Sunset”, 
“If I Were a Rich Man”, and “Matchmaker, Matchmaker”. 
 
It remains a heart-warming celebration of Life.
 
 
ANDY NYMAN  is Tevye 
 
Andy Nyman, an award-winning actor, director and writer, returns to the Menier Chocolate Factory having previously performed in Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins. Other recent theatre work includes Martin McDonagh’s Hangmen. He can currently be seen on tv in Wanderlust and other tv work includes Peaky Blinders. Other casting to be announced.

From ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus with lyrics by Tim Rice, Chess the Musical is returning briefly to the West End. 
  
This iconic musical drama revolves around a Cold War chess match for the world title. The battle between the American and Soviet players is being twisted and turned by their respective governments. When an intriguing Hungarian refugee enters the picture she becomes another player in their emotional game. Being used as pawns by their governments and caught between two world powers, the struggle threatens to destroy their lives. 
  
CHESS has a Top Ten soundtrack that is well loved around the world, including such hits as I Know Him So Well, One Night in Bangkok, Anthem, Heaven Help My Heart, and Pity the Child. This production features the ENO award-winning orchestra and chorus, and the casting of the leads will be announced shortly.

Scott is a champion ballroom dancer but he defies all the rules and does things his own way. When he teams up with Fran who has two left feet and strictly no dance rhythm, what chance does he have of following his heart and winning that championship trophy? 
   
 
Featuring a company of over 30 led by Will Young in the new role of Wally Strand, Jonny Labey (ITV's Dance Dance Dance winner) as Scott, and Zizi Strallen (direct from playing Young Phyllis in Follies) as Fran, this new West End musical is a kaleidoscope of colour and fun. 
  
The show features the film’s classic 'break-into-song'n'dance' numbers such as Love is in the Air, Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps and Time After Time alongside electrifying new songs from a host of internationally acclaimed artists. 
   
Drew McOnie (2016 Olivier Award winner) will direct and choreograph the production.
